(More customer reviews)This Press is beautiful, but it does have some issues. The spout is small, so the first pour tends to dribble, unless you are very very careful. The lid is plastic! It's not very "thermal." I must continue to use a cover for the pot, so its beauty is lost. My son's Thermos/Nissan is not so beautiful, much less expensive, but is actually thermal - the outside of the press stays cool proving that the inside is hot.
Other features: The non-slip bottom is very non-slip;, you can not slide it along a tray or tablecloth. The filter is excellent - a fine mesh that keeps the grounds down where they belong.
